The rural residential buildings in severely cold zones adopt larger windows, and the heat transfer coefficient of window is about four times more than that of wall for energy saving rural residential buildings. Tests the thermal performances of the insulation curtain and shutter. The results show that the overall heat transfer coefficient of the window reduced by 13.5% to 38% by adopting the curtain/shutter and the energy consumption fraction of door and window is markedly lowered.
